JOOY YOGA

JOOY YOGA June Newsletter

June finally feels like our steady, anchored month — no bank holidays, no half terms — just a full run of practice, week by week.

If you’ve been meaning to come back to your mat (or to yourself), this is such a supportive month to do it. Not in a big dramatic way — just in a one class at a time way.

June classes (Mondays, Wednesdays & end-of-month Yin)
This month we have:
  • Monday Hatha (a grounding start to the week)
  • Wednesday class (Slow Flow continuing as usual)
  • Yin at the end of the month (the perfect exhale)

Booking reminders (small classes = please book early)
Because our classes are small and intentionally supportive, spaces can go quickly and waitlists get longer — especially as we head into summer.
  • If you’d like a spot, please book early to save it.
  • If you can’t make it, please cancel at least 12 hours before so you don’t lose your credit and someone else has time to take your space.
  • If something changes last minute, a message in the group chat can sometimes help find someone to take your spot.
August update: Rosendale closing earlier + teaching in Brixton
A little summer heads-up: Rosendale is closing earlier than initially thought, so for August I’m planning to teach in Brixton instead.

Venue: Friends Meeting House, Redlands Way, SW2
Introducing the No-Admin-in-August Summer Pass
To make August very simple (and remove admin for all of us), I’m introducing an all-in pass that’s only redeemable for this block of classes.

The intention is ease:
  • No admin for you: They won’t appear on my website so you don’t need to book in or you  message to confirm
  • No admin for me: There won’t be drop ins or new students and I’ll be there each week whether you are or not (of course I want you there!)

Register interest ASAP (so I can confirm with the venue)
The important bit: you’ll need to register interest & choose your dates ASAP so I can confirm the venue and commit to the hire.

Spaces will be limited and small-group as always:
  • Minimum 4 spots
May Online Beta (thank you + final feedback)
A HUGE thank you to those of you who joined the May Online Beta Group — I’m so grateful you said yes and helped me test this.
We had a few tech wobbles with the live sessions (thank you for your patience), but overall it sounds like the Skool platform is working really well and the experience is feeling supportive and easy to use.
  • You still have full access to everything in the Premium Membership until Sunday 7th June (yes I have extended it)
  • I’d love your final feedback by Monday 8th June please so we can close it off for improvements before the full launch!

If you were there, thank you again, I can’t improve anything without a bit of trial and error and honest feedback.

IIf you are interested in keeping your premium membership – I will have a founding membership offer for you as an extra thank you when it is ready!

Venue hunting (your help would mean a lot)
Got a space in mind?

I’m on the lookout for new venues to bring yoga to — think community halls, wellness studios, and peaceful spaces.

If somewhere near you feels like it was made for some down-to-earth yoga with me, I’d love to hear about it.

Send me: the name & area (and a link if you have one).
Our June Event: International Yoga Day Workshop
I’m running a workshop on Sunday 21st June for International Yoga Day, where we’ll break down Sun Salutations step-by-step.

This is for you if:
  • sun salultations have ever felt rushed or confusing
  • you want them to feel more supportive in your body
  • you’d love to understand the “why” behind the shapes, not just copy them

Any questions of concerns, I am always here to help!
Our July Event: the trilogy finale & a little social ?
In July, I’m planning the end of the Foundations Trilogy as an integration event — bringing together:
  • props & alignment
  • flowy Sun Salutations
  • Yin & relaxaion (And maybe even a tiny drop of Reiki that I am studying at the moment)

But I’d also love to make this one more social before the close of the term for summer as we all practice together but would be great to connect some more! If enough of us, I’m looking to move it from the allotments to a venue where we can easily pop into a restaurant/café afterwards. (Possibly More Yoga Tulse Hill or similar  which already has all the props you need onsite – unless you can suggest a better idea?)
A quick personal note :

I’m taking a little holiday to Sitges / Barcelona at the end of this week — a proper switch off — it won’t affect our teaching schedule but I will be slower to respond to booking questions.

Thank you (for showing up, and for the recent reviews)
I’ve received so many amazing reviews recently — thank you. I never take it for granted that you choose to show up, to try, to keep coming back.
And I also want you to know: I see your progress. I see the confidence building, the steadier breath, the way things start to feel more familiar in your body. It’s a privilege to teach you.

With warmth,
Joy

P.S. If you’re not sure where to start, reply with one line about what you need most right now — and I’ll point you to the best next step.
